Hello Everyone!

It’s Wilky P Henshaw here to clear up any doubts you may have that the Bible is the absolute infallible word of God!

Today I have a letter from a Mandy Cartwright which reads

“My preacher tells me that if I follow Jesus when I die I will go to heaven, and it will be a paradise where I’ll be reunited with all my dead loved ones and I will exist in a state of permanent joy.

I am having problems getting my head round this.

Now I’m sure pretty much everyone has done something in their life to a loved one that they wish they hadn’t, and just thinking about it fills you with sadness and remorse.

Well if you are in heaven does that mean you no longer think about all the stuff you regret?

Because how can you be in a state of permanent joy if you bump into a dead cousin you deliberately hit with an air rifle when you were 14, and start to feel like a bit of a shit for doing it?

And if you don’t remember the bad stuff you’ve done does that also mean you also don’t remember all the bad stuff others did to you, because remembering that would also make you sad?

So does that all mean that when you are in heaven you forget everything bad that happened during your time on earth?

And if you only remember the great things about your time on earth, won’t Earth not then look like IT was a paradise, and then won’t Heaven seem a bit ‘meh’ in comparison because at least on Earth you had a body and stuff?

So then won’t being in Heaven feel a bit boring?

Or have I missed something?”

Interesting points raised Wendy, and while your logic is mostly sound there is one thing you have forgotten to take account of.

You see, Heaven is owned and run by God, and as we all know, He moves in mysterious ways!

Do you understand now?

Mysterious ways!

Once you throw mysterious ways into the mix, you can easily see why Heaven is going to be the bees knees!

That’s all for now folks, but if you have any Bible related questions contact me here at the usual address!
